ok, a little question from a Dane that have been lurking here for a looong
time :)

I been searching high and low on the net and at dealers here in Denmark
(only so few on theese parts).

And I cant seem to locate any "easy 2 install" side pipes for my 76 Camaro
equipped with the original 350. Can any of you please help me with a link to
a dealer that will ship to Denmark.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.

another quick one... Hmmm hard to find the right words in english...
I would love to change the clothing on the 2 front seats on my 76.
preferably to the same as the original or some "light brown" leather that
will match the back seats. Maybe I am a fool with search engines or maybe my
english is just to bad, but I cant locate it anywhere.

all help will be appreciated

You'll most likely not be able to find real leather covers for your
76' Camaro. Classic Industries, Year One, D&R Classics, The Paddock
all carry different color vinyl covers though. If leather is a must
have then you may have to go to an upulsteror to have the work done.

Tried a few upholsterors here in Denmark... cheapest so far 2000 US$.....
Yeps this is an expensive country... 2000 US$ is alot for me at the time
especially with 50% taxes and a pregnant woman :P

Luckily car taxes is low here in Denmark... only 180% taxes on cars when you
buy them :P

Well I have some time to find the right parts now... winther time is here...
so no more Driving with a V8 and a Blower until April 1st 2004 ... sniff :(

Excuse me, did you sssaaayyy 180% like as in 1.8 times the cost of the
car? Goodness I hope not, and if it is true then I feel for you. In
my part of N.Y. State the taxes are around 7.25% and soon to go up to
8.25% on all taxable items.

Yups... compared to our 2 neighbour countries Sweden and Germany we pay 3x
the price for a new car and 4x for a used one :(

Its pretty tough when your a car lover... and damn hard to be in love with
US cars here that are even more insanely priced :( The cool thing about it
is that you have something really unique even with a 76 Camaro :)

Biggest problem on theese parts and especially for a rookie like me is to
find parts and get help :(

Have you checked with any American companies like Classic Industries,
Year One, The Paddock, D & R Classics, Jegs, Summit racing, etc. for
parts and shipping across the pond? They are some of the largest
companies for restoration and speed parts in the world. I would think
that they would send parts over to you. As for the help part, there
are many restoration oriented books that have just about any
information you'll need to bring your car up to what ever you want it
to be. Then there are web sites dedicated to rebuilding and upgrading
F-bodies all over the net. I'm sure that you've been to many already.

Wait, can you import a vehicle, that is buy one in the US and have it
shipped to you, with out paying taxes? I think there would be some import
duty on it, but it might be cheaper than 180% taxes.

Shipping to Europe isn't that bad, I do it all the time. I just sent a book to
Japan and it was $9.65 and it got there in less than a week :). I shipped stuff
to Sweden, Germany, Hungary, Poland and many European countries and it was all
pretty reasonable in time frame and cost given the situation. (This was through
the US Postal Service).

I'm sending something to Australia this weekend, we'll see. LOL
.
I think you mean "leatherette" seat covers. They are probably a heavier grain
vinyl on your car, similar to what's in my 1980 Trans Am. PUI is the company
that makes for most of these restoration houses, www.puiinteriors.com

Contact them and ask what's the best/cheapest way to find a distributor in your
country/continent. They MAY know.

As for other parts and what not, you might want to buy some parts books (76-81
Chevy parts book #10 and #10A is what you need), and a GM shop manual for this
car. Best bet is a used one from Ebay.

Again I ship to Europe all the time. It's nice to meet people from around the
world and see they share the like for US iron over there.
